Angry Woman Screams At Veteran For Bringing His Service Dog Into Restaurant

bez-imeni-1

More than 200,000 people have already watched the following video, and it’s easy to see why it’s sparking so much discussion.

Recently, a woman went to eat lunch at Kathy’s Crab House & Family Restaurant in Delaware City, Delaware. But the mood in the eatery quickly changed when she noticed a man with his service dog.

The man is Army National Guard Bill Austin, a veteran who suffers from PTSD. His Great Dane, JP, is a service animal who provides him with necessary emotional support during potentially crippling social situations. JP is crucial to Bill’s everyday life, whether he’s waking him up during PTSD-related nightmares or reminding him to take his medicine.

According to federal law, the Americans With Disabilities Act requires that restaurants admit patrons with service animals.

Despite this, the woman was furious. The more she went off on the man and his family, the more belligerent she became. She insisted the service dog be put in a different section of the restaurant because animals in restaurants are “disgusting.”

While the veteran remained stoic and composed, another patron desperately tried defending him. “He’s alive because he fought for our country!” she hollered back.
