Bus Driver Sees How Kids Treat The Disabled Boy On The Bus — So She Writes A Note To Parents That’s Gone Viral

Sometimes, kids can be really cruel to those who are even a little bit different. Some of them bully other children, while others can tear their classmate down without even meaning it…

However, in very rare cases kids show compassion to their “odd” peers and even help them selflessly. Psychologists say it depends on the style of parenting they get at home.

Cindy Clausen, the school bus driver, was stunned when she saw two students on her bus doing something out of the norm.

There was a boy with disability, and instead of making fun of or bullying him, two children, a brother and sister, made him feel included! They befriended the boy, always asked to sit with him and offered to help him on and off the bus.

It was clear to Cindy that the parents of the nice brother-sister duo were giving them the right example of how to treat people. They taught their kids to be kind and compassionate. The bus driver was moved by what Annaliese and Jorge, the kids, do every day, so she decided to  complement the parents. So the woman wrore a letter and sent it home with the children.

The letter was later shared on Facebook and has become viral:

“I am compelled to write to tell you how beautiful your children are, inside and out! This can only come from the home, your patience and guidance, the examples that you set and teach.

I have a child on my bus named Jackson. Both of your children have showed him so much compassion and support. Every day your children ask if they can sit with Jackson.

Some days Jackson is a little sad getting on the bus but as soon as he sees Annaliese and Jorge he smiles. Jackson has difficulties walking and it takes a bit for him to get to his seat.

Today Annaliese looked out from around her seat and said, ‘come on Jackson, you can do it” and when we arrived at school, Jackson took it upon himself to carry out his backpack!

I know you know how wonderful your children are, but I wanted you to know that it shows!”16

The parents were so happy to know their son and daughter are applying their valuable lessons in real-life situations! They are so proud of the children!

Annaliese and Jorge can be an example for all school kids.  If you have little ones in your life, share this story with them. Hopefully, they act the same when they meet someone who’s a little bit different than themselves!
