Children can spoil mood of all people flying on a plane. Of course, we can’t blame them for crying as they can do this because of gripes, for example, but they surely can blow up seatmates.
But instead of becoming irritated, one woman – the main character of this post – acted simply excellently!
On Imgur, father of a very capricious child shared a story. His son was behaving badly and crying all the time trying to get on lap of a woman sitting near them. After numerous attempts to calm the child down, his father finally became angry.
But the woman decided to take the problem in her own hands and offered something absolutely incredible. Father told about this on the web:
«On Sunday, I had an awful flight. Due to bad weather, my significant other and I separated in Chicago. This was the second flight in life of my 8-months-old son. Everything was fine until he decided that he wants to get on lap of a woman sitting next to us.
I made several attempts to calm him down, but he kept on crying and shouting. The woman next to us opened her arms, smiled and said: «Just give him to me.» My son (and tired me) happily accepted her offer.
In a minute, the baby put his head down on her chest and fell asleep!
«Power of breasts,» — the woman joked.
Then she told me that if I want to take a nap, she will take care of the baby. As we had recently experienced several cancelled and delayed flights, I was happy to boldly accept her offer.
Kindness of a stranger lighted up the worst day of my life. You should know that there is always hope for better even if it seems that everything is simply awful!»
Such stories restore faith in kindness. But what is more important — we can make such deeds by ourselves!
