Carrie Underwood is so, so polite with this police officer during her traffic stop

The dashcam video from Carrie Underwood’s traffic stop has been released, and you’re going to love how polite she was with the officer. It was her first time being pulled over for speeding.

The dashcam footage from Carrie Underwood’s recent traffic stop in Brentwood, Tennessee, has just been released, and it confirms what we’ve known about Carrie all along. She’s one of the most humble and polite mega-stars you’d ever want to meet.

In the video released by the Brentwood Police Department, Carrie’s Mercedes SUV is pulled over in a residential section of the Nashville suburb. The officer approaches the car and asks her, “What’s the big hurry, ma’am?” Carrie replies, “I wasn’t even paying attention. I know that’s no excuse.”

You’d never know the woman behind the wheel was going to be premiering her brand-new video for “The Champion” this Sunday as part of NBC’s Super Bowl coverage.

You’d also never know this was Carrie’s first time in this situation with a cop.

She tweeted after the traffic stop, “Well, it happened today. After 18 years, I can no longer say I’ve never been pulled over for speeding. I feel so ashamed! I may or may not have cried in my car after the cop let me go. #RuleFollower #GrannyDriver #ImSorry.”

Carrie’s hubby, Mike Fisher, got a big kick out of his wife’s brush with the law.

He tweeted, “Proud of you honey! ?.”

It’s been a big week for Carrie and Mike beyond the traffic stop. On Wednesday, Jan. 31. Mike held a press conference with the Nashville Predators to announce his return to the NHL team this season. He’ll be headed back onto the ice in the coming weeks as the Preds gear up for another shot at the playoffs in the run-up to the Stanley Cup Finals. Mike was the team captain last year when the Predators made it to the finals, but they lost the big prize to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Mike announced his retirement last August, but he began to feel like he had some unfinished business with the Predators. For her part, Carrie was really excited to see Mike return to the ice.

He said in the press conference, “Carrie kept asking me almost every day what I was going to do. She wanted me to do it. She’s usually right.”

Carrie tweeted her excitement about Mike’s return saying, “This is happening! Fish is back! So proud of you, baby! We want the cup!!!”

We have no doubt Mike is blasting Carrie’s new anthem, “The Champion,” while he’s working out and preparing for his return to the ice. The song features Ludacris, and we can’t wait to see the new video this Sunday just prior to the Super Bowl.

Carrie has also been in the studio writing and recording new music for her upcoming studio album. It will be her first release since 2015’s “Storyteller,” which produced a string of big hits including “Smoke Break,” “Dirty Laundry” and “Heartbeat.”
