Cashier Makes A Controversial Remark About Doll’s Skin Color. 2-Year-Old Girl’s Answer Leaves Her Speechless

bez-imeni-1

A 2-year-old Sophia Benner, who lives in South Carolina, went shopping with her mom. The girl had a chance to choose her new toy, and she took a shine to a doctor doll due to Sophia’s dream of becoming a doctor in the future.

Everything seemed to be fine until the moment when a cashier asked little Sophia why she wouldn’t pick another doll that looked “more like her”. Girl’s mother Brandi certainly didn’t expect such an ungracious remark from the staff. However, little Sophia didn’t hesitate to reply, and her straightforward answer confused the impolite cashier.

The smart girl said: “She’s a doctor like I’m a doctor. And I’m a pretty girl and she’s a pretty girl. See her pretty hair? And her stethoscope?”

Brandi shared this story on Facebook, and the post quickly went viral. Obviously, children are born with no prejudice regarding skin color — this is something one may learn from society later on. Apparently, toddlers can be much more benevolent than some grown-ups are.
