A cop in Ontario, Canada, received a 911 call about a fight, but when he arrived on the scene, he was surprised at what he saw.
When Jarrod Singh got there, he saw 8 people gathered around one person, but when he got closer, he realized the person in the middle was break dancing and someone was filming it.
“I saw eight people gathered around one person, so I can see how a member of the public thought it was a fight,” said Officer Singh.
With the cameras still rolling, Singh joined and began to freestyle battle one of the other dancers, Mahdi Tarfi.
“I was like, OK, this guy can move. He finished and was going to leave and I said, ‘No man, it’s not that easy,’ and asked him to do another dance with me,” said Tarfi.
Singh didn’t know till later, but Vivid Media Co., a Toronto-based design company, was recording the video for the students for an upcoming dance competition. They tend decided to share the video on Facebook of the impromptu dance-off, which went viral in a matter of just a few days. So far, it has more than 1 million views!
