This accident happened on New Year’s Eve in Northern Michigan. A man named Bob, whose last name hasn‘t been released, ran out of his farm, in slippers, long johns, and a shirt to get some firewood. On his way back, Bob slipped, fell in the cold winter snow and broke his neck. The man couldn’t move, so he started screaming for help.
His closest neighbor lives at least a quarter mile away, and he didn‘t hear Bob‘s calls. Bearing with the terrible pain, the man almost lost his hope to be saved, but suddenly he saw a figure running towards him… It wasn’t a human. It was his golden retriever, Kelsey.
Bob slowly lost consciousness, and the dog barked and howled continuously as he laid in the snow. She kept him warm by lying on top of him and licked his face and hands. The unlucky man and the pooch had spent 20 hours in the snowfield, until the neighbor heard Kelsey’s howls and came to help. He took Bob to the local hospital where he underwent physical therapy to reverse the paralysis. He is getting better very fast and calls Kelsey and the neighbor his personal heroes!
