We have always been told to avoid wild animals in their natural habitat, but this poor guy was in need of a helping hand.
Locals frequently saw this black bear roaming around town with a very unexpected accessory on his head. He wandered around with a black bucket squeezed down to his neck, completely concealing his eyes, nose, and mouth.
The bear was obviously struggling, but didn’t know how to free himself, so he just continued traveling around.
Thankfully, there were local men brave enough to approach the black bear and try to remove the bucket from his head.
In the video below, posted on February 21, 2017, a man slowly walks up to the bear, who likely can’t see him. The man sees the bear walking in his direction and taps on the bucket gently. The confused black bear is startled and runs off in the other direction, still unaware of his surroundings.
Then the man follows him, and when the lost creature least expects it, he starts to pull on the bucket. The bear is probably too frightened by all the movement that he doesn’t understand the man is trying to help. He flees through a wooden fence and off to a two-way street, the most dangerous place he can be.
Next, the man chases the black bear into the woods to get him away from the road and any other potential hazards. Once he and the bear are in the brush, a large group of local men rushes into frame, ready to get this black bear’s head free. This is when the real work begins.
