Tyson Schreiber turned 16, he got his driver license and signed up to be an organ donor. Three years later, a car accident took his life.

The boy’s healthy organs went to people who needed them. One of those people was Laura Ericks; she received his kidney and pancreas.

The doctors had said I probably wouldn’t live to 40,” Ericks said. “I’m going to be 45 (on my next birthday).”

On one year anniversary, Laura was vacationing with her husband when decided to find and visit her savior’s grave. When she finally found it, she met women whose life changed a year ago too.

Tyson’s mother and sister were visiting him on that day. They both were deeply touched when saw Laura. The boy’s mom said, “It was surreal knowing that she was all healthy now and cared enough to come look him up. She didn’t know where he was. She didn’t have to drive by and look, but she wanted to.”
