This Photo Of A Model House Is Going Viral Because Of One Major Flaw

bez-imeni-1

If you’re going to look at this model house, it seems like there’s nothing wrong with it. But you have to take note of this: this house has one major flaw, and it’s puzzling.

This photo was taken by Reddit user Liquidthc. He was driving past this model home in South Carolina but he had to stop and take a photo of it because he noticed something very unusual. He posted his discovery with the caption “They had one job” and it immediately went viral.

Technically, there’s something strange with the house. Do you see it? It’s really easy and once your eyes catch it, you’ll really wonder why in the first place did that happen.

So here’s the flaw: the driveway. If you are gonna look closely, the driveway leads to the side of the house and not to the garage.

Well, for houses with garage, the driveway MUST be connected to it directly, because, what’s the sense of putting a driveway if it will not lead you to where you are gonna put your vehicle? The purpose is ruined!

Since this photo went viral, a lot of users commented about how this is a major design flaw. Oe even said, “the driveway as shown in this picture acts as parking lot for patrons and sales employees and the garage acts as the sales office. Once the neighborhood is sold out they will sell the model and reconfigure the house to the ‘correct’ way.”

Contrary to this statement, a real state agent who has been in the industry for 13 years now believed that this is a mistake by the concrete guys:

“I’ve been a real estate appraiser for 13 years and I’ve never seen a model home that was purposely built with the intention of tearing it down or majorly altering it later. Model homes are there to showcase the available finishes and upgrades, and then they’re sold “as is” when the development is close to being sold out. Having such an obvious error (which I would call out as a functional obsolescence in an appraisal and would render any buyers unable to obtain conventional, FHA, VA or USDA financing until it was fixed) would only make buyers hesitate as to the competency of the builder and his subcontractors. This was probably a mistake by the concrete guys, or maybe it was discovered too late that the driveway can’t come out the front and the house will have to be altered.”

What do you think about this model house?
