Kyle Tomlinson had been told he wasn’t good enough and that he couldn’t do certain things in life. Despite being put down, he wanted to take his shot and audition for Britain’s Got Talent with a challenging song.
The 15-year-old walked onstage looking quite nervous and knowing that the Golden Buzzer was always on the line. He didn’t know if taking the risk was going to pay off, but there was only one way to find out.
In the video below, posted on June 4, 2017, Kyle takes a deep breath and tries to calm himself down. Seconds later, he starts to sing “Hallelujah” for the crowd.
The audience as well as the judges stare at him, mesmerized within the first few notes. The power in Kyle’s voice grows, and he surely catches everyone off guard.
In the end, the whole venue applauds Kyle for his strong performance, and he breaks down in tears. Being appreciated and finding approval means so much to him — but that’s not the biggest surprise of the night!
Suddenly, one of the judges jumps up to slam the Golden Buzzer.
