What do you do when your family member doesn’t answer the phone for too long? Well, we don’t know about you, but this Nebraska man orders pizza!
A 87-year-old Claire Olsen, who lives alone in Palm Coast, Florida, stopped answering the phone after Hurricane Matthew hit. Her grandson, Eric, called Claire to make sure she was fine and survived the hurricane. When his calls received no answer, he began to worry.
“Well, I talked to her on Friday morning, and she had just lost power, and she said, ‘This is a nightmare,’ and then we didn’t hear from her for two days,” Eric said. “I was calling the police department, I was calling the sheriff’s department, and no one was answering, so I was really worried.”
That’s when Eric came up with an idea to order his granny a pizza!
“So I just said, ‘I’m going to order her a pizza, and if they can deliver it, then I know she’s alive,’” Eric explained.
