All family members are bound forever. Despite any troubles, miseries and even disagreements, it is extremely important for a family to stay together. If the family is happy, then everyone shares this feeling, and the general happiness becomes much bigger. But in case of some tragic event, the whole family grieves. However, family members support each other in such situations making it easier for everybody to get over the tragedy.
Unfortunately, the happiness of this lovely family was destroyed by the devastating news — Ryan and Heidi learned their 2-year-old daughter Lila got sick. The little girl had cancer.
The couple were hoping for the best, but after 3 years of fighting, they were told Lila‘s weak organism would not be able to survive one more chemotherapy.
The 5-year-old girl had, at best, several months to live. Ryan and Heidi were heartbroken, but they decided not to show their grief to their little princess. What is more, they were determined to turn the last months of her life into a beautiful fairy tale.
Lila‘s fifth birthday was approaching, and her parents came up with a wonderful idea – to make a big party which would include her favorite cartoon characters as well as elements of graduation and wedding — the occasions she would never attend.
Ryan and Heidi created a Facebook page where they told their story. Thousands of people were touched by it and wanted to help the parents make Lila‘s last birthday party unforgettable.
The couple received donations from all corners of the United States which covered all their expenses for the party.
Surrounded by all Disney princesses, Lila also turned into Cinderella, her favorite cartoon character.
Her daddy even “proposed” to her and asked her for a real wedding dance.
He said, “We couldn‘t be able to fight for her life for so long and arrange this party without the help of a huge number of people. Thank you all. All this was done for the smile of a little girl. “
And she smiled.
This story deeply touched my heart. It‘s so hard to hold back tears seeing this angel‘s beautiful smile and knowing her life in this world will soon be over.
