Unfortunately, there are so many health issues in the world that many people don’t know about — or that the world doesn’t have a cure for.
One of those diseases is called Diamond-Blackfan anemia, a rare blood disorder that affects the bone marrow and the oxygen that is able to get throughout the body.
According to this video, this rare disease only affects five in every million children worldwide. And one of those kids is Hallie Bea, a little girl from Fort Worth, Texas, who has a spirit that cannot be broken.
She deals with this disease every day. Local law enforcement decided to cheer her up and spread the word with #TeamHallieBea and get more people to #GetSwabbed and donate to the Bone Marrow Registry.
One swab could change a child’s life.
Police, firefighters, and other community members all came together to create a hilarious and uplifting music video to Taylor Swift’s song “Shake It Off.”
And if you can’t already tell from the song title, this video will get everyone moving.
These heroes dance for Hallie, for her disease, and for our enjoyment. Because Hallie too is a hero, after all.
