Danny Quirk is a young American artist who‘s bringing science to a completely new level. Using liquid latex, acrylic paint, and Sharpies, Quirk creates realistic paintings directly on the human body to reveal its amazing inner workings.

An interest in human anatomy leads Quirk to fascinating art pieces that look so intricate that it‘s almost creepy. “My anatomical works combine classic poses, in dramatic chiaroscuro lighting, with a very contemporary twist… illustrating what’s underneath the skin, and the portrayed figure dissects a region of their body to show the structures that lay beneath,” states the artist on his Behance.

Quirk‘s mission is to bring medical textbooks to life, and we think he’s certainly succeeded! Scroll down to explore the inner human wonders for yourself.
