The rescuers at the local animal rescue center in Los Angeles have already saved many dogs. But the animal they’ve recently come across was so different…
Someone sent the rescuers a photo of a mysterious animals wandering around the streets.
When they arrived and saw that unusual dog, later named Julia, they knew she was very special.
Plus, the volunteers didn’t know whether she was a dog or not…
That disoriented and sick poor thing appeared to be a wolf-dog hybrid!
When rescuers approached her, they saw how bad her condition was.
She had numerous wounds and infections all over her body.
It was unclear where she came from, but the crew saw she had the marks of a rope around her neck.
Obviously, Julia was starving and thirsty, still she behaved well when rescuers fed her.
When the pup was taken to the vet, it was said she had been treated awfully.
Scared animal was diagnosed with demodectic mange, which caused fur loss and a lot of scrabbing.
After a bath, the things got worse.
The girl’s open wounds started to bleed.
“Julia started bleeding from everywhere,” said one rescuer. “As dirt and blood was coming down into the tub, Julia changed color from a grey and red to a black and yellow.”
Julia knew she was receiving help, so after the bath she cuddled next to the rescuer.
Finally, she was having a nap after a long, long day.
The next day, Julia was so happy to see her rescuers!
“Julia is still not wagging her tail — she just shows her appreciation by rubbing her head on me.”
But her recovery is not over yet, she still has multiple infections.
Anyway, she is receiving attention she deserves.
What a sweet pup!
Recently, she was able to make some friends!
