Ice skating is a very demanding sport. It is not only very demanding physically, but also requires the ability to express art through the body. All while trying to maintain perfect coordination with the rest of the team. This routine, for example, won team Canada the gold medal at the World Synchronized Skating Championships this year.
This magnificent team wasn’t afraid to pick a modern song for their interpretation. And, yet, each one of their movements are elegant and graceful at all times. This is the first time since 2009 that team Canada has taken the gold medal, and I think this time it was well deserved. Congratulations to them all! Now I need to start practicing my ice skating…
