Willow Tufano is not your average teenager. Back in 2012, she was 14 years old and living with her family in Florida.
On her own accord, Willow began secretly saving money by selling used items from foreclosed homes on Craigslist. In less than two years, she collected $6,000. Then, she found a $16,000 listing for a three-bedroom house in Port Charlotte, Florida, valued at $100,000. However, she negotiated the price down to $12,000.
This thrifty and savvy teenager became a homeowner at 14 years old. She then partnered up with her mother, Shannon.
“I was like, ‘Mom, do you want to go in halves with me?’” Willow told Ellen. “It sort of shocked her at first. My dad was like, ‘I had a paper route when I was a kid! You shouldn’t be doing that!’ But now he’s really supportive.”
Willow then flipped the ramshackle house and transformed it into an adorable and livable abode. Wait until you see what it looks like now… no wonder Ellen was so stunned!
