Parents Bobbi and Kenny McCaughey already had a daughter, and they wanted to give her a sibling. But they got more than they expected.

The couple struggled to conceive and opted for fertility treatments instead. It worked much better than expected, and Bobbi gave birth to four boys and three girls on November 19, 1997.

As reported by American Web Media, the septuplets were born nine weeks early, and even though they needed around-the-clock care, all seven babies and Bobbi where healthy.

The McCaughey Septuplets are believed to be the first surviving set in the world, and their birth garnered a lot of public interest. They met President George W. Bush when they were four years old.

Throughout it all, the siblings always had each other for support, guidance, and comfort. Soon, the media interest waned, and their lives returned to normal.

In an interview with Today, Bobbi thanked her family for the reliable support system they provided. Whenever Bobbi or Kenny Sr. needed help, someone was there to assist.

«We have a super strong support system. We have a super strong faith that has been the rock that we have had to stand on.”
