When someone spotted a “wolf” wandering free in LA, they immediately called Hope for Paws, Hope for Paws is a non-profit animal rescue group that has given homeless and injured animals a chance for a good life.
After receiving the call, they jumped into their car rushed to the scene to try saving that poor animal. They could tell that the animal in question was in serious danger. But it was only when they got to her that they realized they were in for a truly special rescue mission.
First, on the scene, Lisa Chiarelli trapped the “wolf” in a fenced yard. After examining the dog, they realized just how bad of a shape she was in. She was covered head-to-toe with infections, had open wounds and was all skin and bones under her fur.
To their surprise, they realized this “wolf” was actually a stray dog.
Eldad Hagar, the founder of Hope For Paws, noticed a ratty rope still clinging to her neck, which is an obvious sign that she was neglected and then abandoned her
Earning her trust, they fed her lots of treats. Naming her Julia, the team realized she was in a lot of pain. After seeing how swollen she was from infections, they took her to the vet. The team claimed she bled from her paws and had pus oozing everywhere. Julia seemed to be in quite a bad shape.
After some bathing and pampering, the team realized she was a German Shepard Husky mix. Only two years old, Julia needs a happy, loving home.
Julia is evidence of the amazing work that rescuers do every day to help our animal friends.
