Historical buildings are usually so inspiring and jaw-dropping. They hold memories of past times and people who lived there. From time to time they need renovation works. But unfortunately, sometimes they can be demolished too. Before this happens, let’s look at this beautiful mansion.
This house is located in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Now It is abandoned and partially taken over by nature. The last family who occupied it passed away in 1995. It is hard to believe, but nobody lived there since that time. It seems strange because it looks astonishing. A lot of people might want to own and live in this house.
It is even listed on the National Register of Historic Places. But unfortunately, this fact didn’t protect the mansion from demolition. The papers are already signed, and the process will start soon. It is such a pity.
The photographer Lisa Jones decided to make these amazing pictures to keep this mansion in our memories. She hoped that the beauty of these photos would serve as a reminder that we should cherish everything that is near and dear. Because we never know when it can disappear.
