When we’re angry, we lose the basic ability to think calmly and we can even do something that we normally wouldn’t. That angry mind is exactly where this brainteaser comes from, or more specifically, from an angry reader.
This reader was furious and ripped several pages of his book. The pages he tore out were numbered 7, 8, 11, 12, and 84 and 85. And it leaves us with the following question: how many pages of the book did he tear out?
Do you think it’s easy? Then, you’ll easily get the right answer, and we won’t need to show you the answer… or will we?
Okay, here is the answer: the reader ripped out 4 pages.
Is something wrong? Think about a book, it begins with the numbers 1 and 2 on the same page, and thus it continues. A single side of one page will have an odd number and the other side will have a larger even number. So, there are only 4 pages: the first is numbered 7 and 8, the second 11 and 12, the third 83 and 84, and the fourth has pages 85 and 86.
Is it really as simple as it looked? We just have to think with a little bit of logic and remember our books, or haven’t you opened one recently? Share this brain teaser with your friends and discover who can think between the lines.
