Meet Sammy the horse.
Sammy lives in Ohio and is currently boarded at a local boarding/rescue stable.
As you can see, Sammy currently has bangs. Sammy is not ~supposed~ to have bangs.
Matt Spencer — the Redditor who posted the photo — explained that his dad volunteers at the stable where Sammy is currently boarded, and decided to give Sammy a little haircut.
«According to my dad, he was cleaning out the stalls and he felt bad that the horse’s hair was getting in his eyes, and honestly thought he was helping the horse out,» Spencer explained on Reddit. As for the Ellen mentioned on the whiteboard, she’s the owner of the stables.
As it turns out, people are pretty passionate about horse bangs.
Some of the comments on the Facebook page of a local Fox affiliate that covered the story are…uh, heated.
VERY heated.
In fact, the Facebook post in question has since been deleted.
Spencer maintains that his dad was just trying to help, and that everything is OK now.
«However ridiculous the horse looks, somehow my father thought he was helping!» Spencer said on Reddit. «After he saw the sign, he immediately apologized, and it wasn’t a big deal after that.»
