On Christmas Eve, JT Thompson took a trip to the ice-skating rink with friends and family, and things didn’t go so well for the skating novice.
Being from Florida, I can relate to his lack of skill. I will never fully understand how people can be so good at ice-skating. As a child, I was always the one hugging the railing, just praying I wouldn’t fall flat on my bottom.
Like me, JT is not a skilled ice-skater; he can hardly stay up on his feet. A nearby woman named Sherrell, who was also skating, filmed his epic ice-skating fail and couldn’t help but giggle.
Luckily, it seemed like there were no hard feelings. JT knew just how bad he was and posted on his Facebook about it.
As you’ll see in the footage below, JT carefully (and slowly) scooted across the ice on his skates while trying to keep his balance. “You got it!” Sherrell told him. Slowly but surely, JT made his way onto the ice — until disaster struck.
“I’m trying to get to that wall!” JT announced right before he flailed his arms and then completely lost his balance. Thankfully, other skaters grabbed him and dragged him to the wall as he tried to stand up on two feet.
JT decided to just completely give up and he clenched his hands along the wall’s railing. See it all happen in the video below.
