There are a lot of frightening creatures living on our planet, for example, bird-eating spiders, but they are really nothing compared to the scary things that happened on the earth a long time ago.
This weird-looking object washed up on the shores of North Carolina, and it was a part of that terrifying past. An ordinary resident was just walking along the beach when she found something truly incredible. That was a fossil so mind-blowing that she couldn’t believe her eyes. Take a look!
As it turned out, it was the totally enormous tooth of a Megalodon shark. It was an insanely big creature. A huge T-Rex looks so small in comparison.
They could reach lengths of up to 60 feet, but luckily for us, these sharks died out around 2.6 million years ago.
This tooth measures nearly six inches. So, you can imagine how big these beasts were.
As you can see, the shark that this tooth came from was even larger than a bus.
The megalodon’s jaw looks absolutely giant!
It is a very good thing that these creatures died out many years ago, right?
We should be thankful that they are not still around!
