Shakespeare told us ages ago that “The eyes are the windows to your soul” and right now, science is also telling us the same.
By studying 428 subjects to see if their personalities were linked to the irises in their eye, scientists at Orebro University in Sweden found that our eye color is affected by the same genes that form our frontal lobes. Meaning to say, we can observe similar behavior in people with similar irises.
“The eye is so closely linked neurologically to the brain that you might call it the only part of our brain you can see from the outside. It seems to hold vital clues to our brain function,” says Dr. Anthony Fallone of Edinburgh University, who has studied the links between eyes and personality.

For Dark Brown/Black Eyes:
People born with black eye color are most likely a natural born leader. Having dark brown or black eyes often leads people to conclude that you are secretive or mysterious, but a study in Current Psychology reported by Medical Daily showed that people with darker eyes are generally seen as more agreeable.
Furthermore, the darker your eye color, the more melanin you have in your body. Other studies note that people with dark eyes are good at sports that involve hitting targets. And because you are natural born leader, the world sees you as one.
Blue Eyes
“Blue eyes have the power to hypnotize”. This might sound pleasing to you that you possess the most desirable eye color.
A research suggests that those with the blue eyes are the sexiest and most intellectual of all.
Another thing that might please you about your eye color is that you have the power to tolerate pain for a much longer time. According to studies, women with lighter-colored eyes tend to tolerate pain better during childbirth than those with darker eyes. They also seemed to handle the stress of childbirth better. Also, blue-eyed people can handle liquor in large quantities.
Dr. Inna Belfer of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine says, “In a study involving 58 pregnant women — 24 with dark-colored eyes and 24 with light-colored eyes — those with lighter eyes achieved greater reductions in postpartum anxiety, depression, and catastrophizing/rumination.”
Gray Eyes
If you have dark gray eyes, you can be different things to different people depending on whose needs need to be met. You are either a well-balanced person or someone who exerts himself a little bit more. People often do not take you seriously. In terms of emotions, you tend to care more for people who are able to break through your defenses. You are very serious about your love life and do not like to fool around.
Hazel Eyes
Based on The Eye Doctor Guide, the hazel color is a change from green to brown, or an iris that has two different colors. Being a very rare color, those who have this are considered different and unique. Independent, adventurous, and spontaneous are some of your basic personality traits. You are easily adaptable to any kind of situation because it is your forte.
When it comes to your health, people with hazel eyes are more prone to digestive issues, so be very careful.
Brown Eyes
Brown is the most common eye color in the world and it tells people that you are bold, confident, and attractive. You are also good at making friends and are very creative. People find you trustworthy, generous, and compassionate. However, if you think otherwise, it might be that you are not getting enough sleep.
People with brown eyes generally sleep two hours less than people with lighter eyes, and their sleep cycles tend to be poorer so they basically have a harder time getting up in the morning. This is according to a study in the journal Chronobiology International.
Green Eyes
This is the rarest and most mysterious of all eye colors. People perceive you as alluring and sexy, and you can handle work under pressure. Stress is very easy to manage, and those around you look up to you because you have a magnetic personality. Compassion, brilliance, and originality is your game.
Ophthalmologist Surgeon Doctor Hamadi Kallel comment that people with green eyes “have an air of mystery and a quiet self-sufficiency. They are often unpredictable, actually the most unpredictable, but slow to anger.”
