If you have an iPhone, there’s a hidden feature that is likely keeping a running list of all the places you go!
Whether it’s your home, school or office, Apple is maintaining a detailed log that includes the addresses of the locations you’ve visited and the number of times you’ve been there.

Hey, iPhone users: This hidden feature is tracking you!
On its website, Apple explains why it tracks your movements with the Frequent Locations feature:
To learn places that are significant to you, your iOS device will keep track of places you’ve recently been, as well as how often and when you visited them. This data is kept solely on your device and won’t be sent to Apple without your consent. It will be used to provide you with personalized services, such as predictive traffic routing.
If you don’t want Apple keeping a list of where you’ve been, there’s a way to find and disable the feature. One of our Team Clark Consumer Action Center volunteers demonstrated the process in the video below.

Step-by-step: How to disable Apple’s Frequent Locations service
Step 1: Go to “Settings”
Step 2: Select “Privacy”
Step 3: Select “Location Services”
Step 4: Scroll down to select “System Services”
Step 5: Scroll and select “Frequent Locations”
Step 6: Select “Clear History”
Step 7: Turn off “Frequent Locations”
