Brandie Weiler and her two daughters, 12-year-old Maddie and 7-year-old Mollie, were on their way to Busch Gardens in Virginia when they witnessed a car accident.
Brandie pulled over to help, but while she was on the phone with 911, the man who caused the accident approached her van.
The concerned mom started screaming, but before she could make it back to the vehicle, the man stuck his hand inside the car, unlocked the door and climbed in.
He allegedly started yelling things like, “Let’s go, I need to get to this place.”
Authorities say that the man tried to take off with the two young girls in tow, not knowing that Maddie and Mollie come from a long line of police officers and firefighters. Maddie’s instincts kicked into gear.
“I just went for it,” she told FOX2. “Nothing passed my mind except, ‘He is a psycho and he needs to get out of the car.’”
Not only did Maddie start punching the man and screaming for help, she also made one more vital decision that changed everything for her and Mollie — and it wound up making Maddie even more of an incredible hero.
