One man was tired to death of going to work every day, while his wife was staying home. With all his heart he wanted his wife to see what he goes through each day, so he prayed.
— Oh Lord, every day I am going to work, spending 8 hours there, while my wife’s only staying home! I want her to know how difficult it is for me. Please, let us switch our bodies for one day, so she would be in my shoes.
Generous God wields a tremendous wisdom and makes our dreams come true. Therefore, the next morning the man awoke and found himself a woman.
He got up, made breakfast for his already-husband, awakened the children, helped them to put on school things, fed them breakfast, gave them lunches, drove to school, and on his way back home picked up the dry cleaning, went to the bank to pay the bills and to the grocery shop. Then he came home, set out groceries, sort out bills and put all documents in order.
Later on, he washed cat’s bowl and bathed the dogs.
It was already 1 p.m. when he looked at the time, so he hurried to make the beds, do the laundry, hoover the house, dust and mop the floor in the kitchen. Then he ran to school to pick up the children and, on the way home, got into the quarrel with them.
Upon arriving back home, he fed the children and set them down to do their homework. Then he set up the ironing board, turned on TV and started ironing.
At 4:30 p.m. he started peeling potatoes and washing vegetables for a salad. He made pork chops and prepared beans for a trimming.
When the family finished the dinner, he cleaned the kitchen, turned on a dishwasher, folded the ironed laundry, bathed the children and got them to bed.
At 9 p.m. he was so exhausted that hardly made it to the bed. All he wanted was to make love with his loved person and nobody would complain about him…
The next morning he woke up and immediately turned to God:
— Dear Lord, I don’t even know what I was thinking about. I was wrong when I envied my wife. Please… Please, give it all back!
A wise God answered:
— My son, I see that you have learned your lesson and I will be glad to change everything as if was before. But you will have to wait for another 9 months.
