Irineu Cruz and Jucicleide Silva is a couple from Brazil. They are married for 20 years and have 13 sons all named after famous footballers whose names begin with the letter “R”. But they dream about a daughter.
The boys in this family range from one month to an 18-year-old. Irineu Cruz, a 40-year-old farmer, got to give them names as they have decided that all the male children will be named by father. As for female children, Jucicleide has to give them names, but there were none so far.
Irineu has been enjoying this naming decision for the last 20 years. He chose to name all the sons after famous footballers. He said that he had always admired players like Rivaldo and Ronaldinho, and it seemed to him like all the best footballers have names beginning with “R”.
