The very public feud between Jenelle Evans and her mother, Barbara, is getting out of hand now that Jenelle has revealed some heartbreaking news on social media.
As Radar Online reports, the Teen Mom 2 star and her mother have been in a heated battle for custody of Jenelle’s 7-year-old son, Jace, for what feels like years now.
Although the pair are soon due to face off in court to see who will be awarded custody of Jace, Jenelle claims her mom has officially taken things too far.
According to Jenelle, Jace was ripped away from her on Mother’s Day last Sunday.
It was clear that something bad was brewing on Friday, when Jenelle shared a very foreboding sad face and a broken heart emoji with the hashtag “#Heartbroken” on social media.
Fans immediately went into a frenzy, assuming Jenelle and her fiancé, David Eason, must have called it quits.
But it didn’t take long before Jenelle cleared things up and revealed even more heartbreaking news.
“On Mothers Day I won’t have him. I’m torn,” she wrote on social media. “Was mad for too long then turned into tears the rest of my night.”
Although some fans suggested that Jenelle should have tried inviting her mother to spend Mother’s Day with her, David, and the rest of the kids, the MTV star claims Barbara has completely cut her off.
Jenelle says Barbara won’t even pick up the phone when she calls, nor will she respond to her text messages.
Even crazier, Jenelle claims Barbara actually kept Jace locked inside her house like a prisoner on Mother’s Day.
Perhaps the saddest part of this whole story is that Jenelle claims her mother wouldn’t even allow Jace to call her on Mother’s Day.
According to Radar Online, both Jenelle and her mother are set to confront one another in court on May 25, at which point Jenelle hopes to secure full custody of Jace.
While Jenelle is praying to make her family whole again, she claims she has no plans to cut Barbara out of their lives completely.
After all, she does understand that Jace loves his grandmother, possibly just as much as he loves his own mother at this point.
«Jace doesn’t have a ‘side.’ He loves me and my mother equally and that will never change,» Jenelle recently told E! News in an interview regarding her tumultuous relationship with her mother. «I’m ok with that, too.”
