Pianist plays song in department store, notices familiar woman and immediately jumps to his feet

Music is a universal language — the right song at the perfect moment can speak to the heart of any individual, and express more than words could ever communicate. It has the power to make people want to dance at a wedding, it fills the awkward silence in a crowded elevator, and it can even help folks stay focused when they’re feeling stressed.

It’s a rare musician that can turn a busy store or street corner into a place filled with such harmonic beauty that you can’t help but feel a black tie or evening gown would be appropriate! Melbourne musician Natalie Trayling is one such musician…

She’s been been blessed with the unique ability to transform a totally ordinary retail space into a first class concert hall. Fortunately for us, the pianist at David Jones department store recognized Natalie and was kind enough to step aside and to let her play.

Natalie has been ill recently and he hasn’t seen her come into the store for years, but now she’s making a comeback. You know you have talent when a fellow musician stops everything and makes their instrument available for you to play.

I love that he did this for her! Apparently so did everyone else! People not just at the mall but around the world are stunned by her talent and can’t stop watching the video.

As the Aussie’s nimble fingers race up and down the black and white keys, it’s easy to see why her rolling melodies and graceful harmonies are putting the crowd into a state of blissful relaxation. What’s really impressive is that Natalie is truly «playing» the piano — she’s spontaneously composing her tunes on the fly!

You can immediately tell that it comes straight from her heart. Watch the video below to see why Natalie is one of the most gifted musicians out there.

Her God-given talents are simply astounding. Listening to her play will warm your heart.

I hope I’m lucky enough to be treated to such a beautiful live performance the next time I go shopping!
