Mia and Rozonno McGhee met back in high school and were able to bond over their troubled pasts.
Mia was disowned as a girl and Rozonno’s mother struggled with drug addiction, so both had to grow up in a hurry.
Unfortunately, once they tried to have children, the hardships continued.
For ten years, they tried to conceive with no luck.
So they turned to fertility treatment as their last hope.
The treatments were a success. In fact, they were more successful than anyone could have imagined.
Mia was blessed with six (!) new arrivals on the way.
Rozonno had his own carpet cleaning business, and Mia knew that taking care of so many kids would be a full-time job.
To show their love and happiness to the world, once the kids arrived healthy and happy, they sat for this photo.
It quickly became viral, as did the McGhees’ story.
They appeared on Oprah and found themselves blessed with the generosity of others.
Oprah gave the family $250,000 in Wal-Mart credit and even a honeymoon to Las Vegas.
From that appearance, the family found themselves the star of their own reality TV show on Oprah’s OWN network.
But best of all, the publicity led to a boom in Rozonno’s business as the children started to grow up.
The kids grew…and grew…and grew…
Before too long, the parents realized that their children wouldn’t be kids forever, so they wanted to do something special.
