Teen’s Dad Dies Unexpectedly. 2 Years Later, A Line Of Cop Cars Shows Up Outside Her Senior Prom

In December 2014, Officer Charlie Kondak of Tarpon Springs, Florida, was shot and killed during what was supposed to be a routine call. The entire community was horrified in the wake of his death.

Charlie was 45 years old and worked with the police department for 17 years. His wife and six kids were heartbroken and devastated beyond belief.

A couple of years passed by, and Charlie’s daughter Aleena was set to attend her prom at River Ridge High School. It’s every father’s dream to see his daughter in her sparkling gown and take photos before seeing her off to the big night, and vice versa… but of course, Aleena wouldn’t have the opportunity to share the excitement of the evening with her dad.

That’s why Aleena’s mom Teresa came up with a brilliant plan, and kept it a secret from her daughter until prom night.

Without telling Aleena, Teresa secretly enlisted the officers of the Tarpon Springs Police Department — her late husband’s brothers and sisters in arms — to form a line and surprise Aleena when she stepped off the bus for prom.

What happened next is nothing short of incredible.
