Not many school projects gain a lot of attention outside of class. However, this one’s different – this young artist created a work that is so special that it went viral both off and online.

Jacob Feazel is a high school student whose dream is to become a talented artist — And for one of his school projects, Jacob created something that’s so remarkable that people simply could not believe that he’s only a high school student.

What he made for his project is the American flag, which was only about 4 feet by 6 feet. He didn’t want to just show his patriotism and love for his country, but he wanted to do something special that would honor the solider who have, continue to, and will fight bravely in wars to protect this country we live in.

So, guess what he did?

Once he brought this unique flag to class, everyone including his teacher was surprised. It turned out that he painted all of his toy soldiers in red, white, and blue in order to create his project.

Jacob bought and painstakingly painted and glued 4,466 toy soldiers to create this jaw-dropping piece of patriotic art. In an interview, someone asked what his inspiration was — he said, “When I was putting each Army guy on there, I was thinking about each of these guys. They serve, they are the ones that.. make this flag what it is. It took me 56 hours just to do this project, but they spend a very large portion of their life so that I can make this project.”

Not surprisingly, Jacob got an A for this project, but getting the A wasn’t his goal. He wanted to make sure that everyone knew about the sacrifices the soldiers give up in order to protect our freedoms, so hee decided to post more photos of the his project on Twitter, and his mother shared the photos on her Facebook, as well.
Unsurprisingly, their immediate friends and community couldn’t get enough of Jacob and his project. They ABSOLUTELY fell in love with it.
Millions of people began to like and share his rendition of the American flag with their own friends and family. Not soon after, most of the internet either seen or heard about it.

Because his project went so viral, Jacob decided to start his own Facebook page, called as “For love of country and art – the art of Jacob Feazel,” and share more of his art projects. He also hopes that this page will open up scholarship opportunities for college.
