Teething baby is constantly fussy until mom tries out genius hack giving him icy pacifier

bez-imeni-1

Every parent knows how challenging it can be to care for a baby who is teething. They can be fussy, cranky, and grumpy — and nothing seems to soothe them.

According to WebMD, babies have a number of different symptoms when it comes to this frustrating time. “Some babies are fussier than usual when they are teething,” they explain. “This may be because of soreness and swelling in the gums before a tooth comes through.”

Many parents try to buy teething toys for their babies in order to ease the pain, but those can get expensive. Instead of purchasing items for their babies, some parents come up with cheap, easy alternatives.

For instance, one mom created “milksicles” for her baby. Now, another mom has come up with a brilliant hack using her son’s pacifier.

Emelia Jackson’s young son started teething, so she decided to fill one of his pacifiers with water and stick it in the freezer. Emelia’s son loved the icy binky, so she shared the trick with other moms online!

Mom hack:

If your babies are teething, mamas put water in your soothie, and then put it in the freezer for a couple hours.

Seriously a life saver for teething mamas. He was so content with his cold binky

After her post started getting attention, Emelia made sure to clarify that the pacifier hack was totally safe for her baby, writing:

EDIT: Since there are so many people freaking out thinking my little man is drinking the water, I want to show you that there is NO hole in this binky. And absolutely NO way for the baby to get the water

Emelia told LittleThings that she never expected her post to get so much attention.

“To be honest, I didn’t realize people would actually even care. I uploaded it thinking maybe some of my mom friends would be like, ‘hey this helps thanks,’ and that’s it,” she said.

Although she didn’t expect her hack to spread so much, she’s glad it did!

“I’ve been thanked [by moms] for helping them through this horribly uncomfortable time in their baby’s life and honestly that brings so much joy to my heart,” Emelia explained. “It’s hard being a mama, rewarding but oh so hard, and teething is a b*tch, lets just be honest.”

“So if you can find these cheap easy hacks then why not?! Us mamas got to stick together, so I’m glad it’s helped a few people,” Emelia concluded.

And her clever idea has definitely helped a lot of parents already!

So far, the post already has 38,000 comments, with tons of parents tagging each other to share the incredible hack.

“I did this last week, seriously a life saver,” wrote one mom.

Another mom wrote, “I saw this last night and decided to try it. Today my baby’s top two teeth seem to really be trying to push through and this was the only thing that helped. Thanks for the tip!”

She broke us. ?
