There are countless times our mind was tricked thanks to optical illusions. This time, we will prove that our brain is one big good organizer. This is actually obvious given how our mind sends signals to the other parts of our body to do something or to feel something which are sometimes involuntary in nature.

Well, here is a code for you to read. Can you?

This message has been circulating for years in social media stating that only the strong minds can read it. Ironically, almost everyone can decode the passage above. Even more fascinating is our brain does not use its parts which are associated with numbers whenever we encounter this. Instead, it sees these numbers as something else from the way these are arranged. This is explained by a Spanish cognitive scientist Jon Andoni Duñabeitia who is part of a team who wrote five researches about it.

He explained that we do not see numbers when we see that passage. We see letters. In a matter of milliseconds, people are able to decode these weirdly shaped letters like a bad penmanship or a unique font style. He even added that our brain gives us additional tolerance which enables us to read this code. In the first place, it sees these numbers as words.

This is nothing new. In the early days of the internet, people are familiar with the alternative manner of stating alphabets known as l33t or the leet speak. It has also been used to bypass spam filters by changing a letter to a word which also looks like it.

While it is true that everyone can read that passage, it should also be known that it depends on the environment and the era you were raised in. A child who is surrounded by computers is expected to be more adept than one who lives in the countryside. The same can be said that youths today are more proficient with this kind of language than the older ones.

Although it does not pose a problem since there will always be someone who can read this with ease.
