Lee Bondurant and his mother, Linda were at a restaurant enjoying their dinner when they witnessed true kindness from a stranger.
A waiter named Five went out of his way to show such incredible generosity that Linda just could not believe it.
The thing is, Lee has cerebral palsy and one of his challenges was being able to feed himself. Five, a college student, noticed Linda juggling between feeding her son and feeding herself.
The part-time waiter felt the need to make their dining experience as comfortable as possible so he walked on over to where Lee and his mother sat. He started by asking Lee if he had ever tried Oysters.
Linda said:
“Lee told him he had not. So, [Five] asked [if he] could he serve him his first. It was smooth not to embarrass Lee.”
Lee said the man’s kindness was truly wonderful as he had never experienced anything quite like that.
Despite his health challenges, 51-year-old Lee tries to be as independent as possible. He is not used to having people help him out but one thing he always needs help with is feeding himself.
Lee said Five’s genuine spirit was very obvious which was why he graciously accepted his assistance.
Beautiful stories like these remind us that there are still kind people in the world and encourage us to do more to help others.
