When Maria Mansia saw her son for the first time in years, she couldn’t believe her eyes. She said she hadn’t known anything about his life all these years. Steve Hernandez was only 18 months old when he was kidnapped. The adductor stole everything, including all the baby stuff, the boy’s photos and even an ultrasound scan.
Maria Mansia still remembers that day in 1995, when she lost her only son. She managed to find one picture of her beloved boy in the relative’s photo album. Maria kept it for years.
Police tried to find the boy, but all those efforts failed. Finally, after twenty years of searching, they found a single lead on this case. It turned out that the kid was stolen by his own dad. The police believed the boy’s father was dead. But he was alive and lived in Mexico. Steve was in Mexico too.
Steve said: “It was a big shock! I didn’t know that my mother is alive. I am very glad to see her!”
When Steve came to his mother, he brought his photos for all these years. It was the only way to show her how he lived all this time.
Now Steve is going to live with her mother in the United States.
